Streamlining her life

Meet Ashley
Ashley Hollingshead, MBA is an Advanced Analytics Program Lead at Chevron, Wife, and Mom of two.
At work, she is an innovative, business-focused Data & Analytics leader delivering high-impact AI-driven solutions.
At home, she is a busy Mom who loves to cook for family, travel and volunteers in her children’s school district. She uses AI to be as efficient as possible in her busy life.
How “She Runs on AI”
Ashley uses AI for everything from grocery lists to trip planning.
Feeding the Family – Her family uses Alexa to add groceries to the AnyList app, which she also uses to meal plan and place orders—though it sometimes leads to more sweets and snacks than planned. ;)
Trip Planning – For their annual motorhome trips, Ashley uses AI to build itineraries, often discovering new family- and dog-friendly activities by including her kids’ ages and Luna the Great Dane in prompts.
Work – Ashley relies on Co-pilot to plan her day, refine messages, take meeting notes, and find lost documents.
Her #1 AI Hack
As a mom of two, Ashley was overwhelmed by manually adding school and party invites to her calendar. She snapped a photo of the paper invite and used ChatGPT to generate an accurate .ics file, which she quickly emailed to herself and added to her iPhone calendar—saving time and effort.
Example Prompt: Please create an .ics invite from this image.
How AI Changed Her Routine
Before AI, Ashley’s meeting notes were scattered, making it hard to track outcomes and next steps. Now, AI helps her stay engaged, quickly move action items to her to-do list, and manage overlapping meetings. She uses OneNote’s “add meeting details” to auto-generate pages with recaps, invites, and tasks—keeping everything organized.
Ashley’s role at work is to also advise on how AI should be used to improve business outcomes. AI has made her research of emerging technologies and relevant applications more efficient.
Her Advice to Women Exploring AI
“The next time you are doing something using your phone or computer, ask yourself, could this be done more efficiently? There is likely an AI tool or Chat-GPT prompt that is the answer to that question.
Continuously asking questions of your Gen AI tool of preference will build confidence in using these tools.
Writing prompts is a skill that is built over time and practice will help you find your voice in this space.”
